Description
In the heart of the garden on Île Seguin, designed by Michel Desvigne, we built a cultural centre designed to provide information on the island’s urban planning project and to preserve the memory of the area’s human, social and industrial history.
As construction work progresses on the Île Seguin, the exhibition pavilion may have to be moved to another location on the island. The building was designed to be modular, easy to dismantle and reassemble elsewhere; it consists of a grouping of shipping containers.
Sustainability criteria
- The building’s relationship with its immediate environment.
- Integrated choice of construction products, systems and processes with a low environmental impact
